About The Conference
The INCLUSIVE AFRICA CONFERENCE provides a dynamic new forum to explore global best practices that improve accessibility and inclusion for all people, particularly persons with disabilities and the elderly.
The conference agenda will include discussions about the impact of digital accessibility on employment, education, government services, businesses and plenty of face-to-face opportunities to share knowledge and network.
- Raise awareness among leaders — government representatives, educators, ICT sector, Fintech, city planners, business leaders and other African countries — about the long-term benefits of digital inclusion (assistive technology and digital accessibility)
- Showcase global best practices in implementing accessibility standards, policies and programs: UK Digital Government Service,Australian Government Accessibility Policy,European Accessibility Act and more
- Promote Universal Design & Inclusive Innovations: How are IT innovations being used to generate more inclusive settings, products and services. Examples: M-PESA (mobile payment), Lazarillo (wayfinding app and platform), Netflix (captioning of series).
